Independence Day of Israel

To honor this special day, we will be taking a "trip" to Israel!

Send your child to school Monday, May 9th with their traveling bag.  Please pack an outfit suited for very  hot weather and things that will be needed for their day trip.  The sky is the limit, as long as it fits inside your traveling bag!  Don't forget to pack something for the airplane ride too.

We have many exciting things planned and will even be making wishes on the Western/Whaling Wall!

We will be taking photos and turning it into a scrapbook to document this exciting day!

This week we read several stories about Mom's and how special they are.  We brainstormed why our Mom's are so special to us, wrote special cards, decorated and designed special notepad books, and wrapped up our special gifts. We hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day!

Show & Tell

Show and Tell is back!  Please send something special in for your child to share with the class EVERY Friday.  We ask that you limit Show and Tell to one item.

Every student has had an opportunity to celebrate their special Superstudent week and take the role of Ima/Abba for Shabbat!  We had so much fun celebrating, and will continue to celebrate Shabbat as a class.  Every week a different boy and girl will have an opportunity to take the role of Ima and Abba.  This past Friday Sienna and Austin had the honor and we look forward to seeing who are next two Superstudents will be!

Flat Stanley is on His Way to His Host Family

On Friday, we sent Flat Stanley on his final trips to different states.  We can't wait to see him again in May.  We hope to have him back by May 17th.  If you posted three addresses, we mailed two Flat Stanley's this week! 

Beginning Monday, we will be sending home our scrapbook of all the exciting places Flat Stanley has visited so far, for one special evening.  This special book continues to grow as we will be decorating it, and adding more Stanley's as they arrive during our morning classes, so please be sure to return it promptly in the morning when it is your child's turn to take home.
